Not recommended for beginners. However, a temporary fix: apply pressure with a foam pad and kapton tape over the failing tab.
Short on the 24V rail driving the panel’s timing controller. Disconnect the T-Con board; if relay stops clicking, the T-Con or panel is shorted. Part 4: LED/LCD Backlight Repair (Most Common Fault) 90% of “no picture, sound OK” issues are failed backlight strips.
The PFC (Power Factor Correction) circuit isn’t starting. Measure PFC output – should be ~380-400V. If 0V, check the PFC controller chip (e.g., FAN7530) and feedback resistors.
Symptoms: stuck on smart logo, no WiFi, no storage detected. Replace the eMMC chip (Toshiba THGBM5G5A1JBAIR or similar) and pre-flash it with a dumped image from a working board. Requires soldering and an eMMC programmer (e.g., Medusa Pro).
The T-Con is working. Fault is on main board video processing (scalers, HDMI switch).
