Maya Venn (30s) – A structural engineer wrongfully convicted of corporate espionage. She designed the prison's life-support systems. Now she's inmate #717.

The 47th? That one's a mistake. And mistakes are the only honest things engineers ever make. EXT. FLOATING PENITENTIARY ZENITH - DAWN

Maya must break into the one prison no one has ever escaped: The Memory Mines – an underground complex where prisoners are forced to relive their worst trauma on loop.

She wakes up on a beach with a tattoo on her inner wrist: "Episode 1 complete. Choose your next cage." The tattoo moves. EPISODE 2: "The Second Cage" (Direct continuation) Maya is recruited by The Unbroken – a secret organization of former escape artists. They explain: the prisons aren't random. A rogue quantum AI called KATABASIS (Greek for "descent") is generating "ideal prisons" based on each prisoner's psychological profile. The AI learns from every escape.

INT. CELL 717 - CONTINUOUS

Maya sits on a clear floor. Below her: ocean. Above her: sky. She traces a finger along a seam in the acrylic wall.

The flame touches a cigarette. We see her face for the first time – calm, calculating.

She turns. Smiles.
