The download was instantaneous. A folder named LUTETIA_PIGMENTS appeared on her desktop. Inside: 214 files. Not images, not PDFs. Each file was a .pig —an extension she’d never seen. Their names were old: Lapis Lazuli – Ultramarine (Afghan).pig , Realgar – Dragon’s Blood (Sanskrit).pig , Mummy Brown – Ex-Human (Theban).pig .
