Mist [v1.0.3] [395games] May 2026

In short: Mist is not a game for instant gratification. It is a tense, resource-driven survival story wrapped in a mystery, where the “adult” content serves the narrative rather than the other way around. Story & Setting: The Fog of Despair You play as a man who wakes up in a cabin with no memory of how he arrived. Outside, a deadly, inexplicable Mist has engulfed the world. The Mist isn't just fog—it carries pheromones, madness, and mutated creatures. Your only goal is to survive, find other survivors, and uncover what happened.

The world-building is excellent. The Mist is a terrifying antagonist in its own right. It changes the environment, isolates areas, and forces hard choices. The writing leans into dread and uncertainty. Characters don’t trust you immediately; you have to earn their loyalty through actions, not dialogue options. The plot unfolds gradually, with journal entries, environmental clues, and character backstories pieced together like a puzzle. mist [v1.0.3] [395games]

Mist [v1.0.3] is a thoughtful, somber journey through a post-apocalyptic nightmare. It respects your intelligence and your time—mostly. If you enjoy visual novels like DeLuca Family or Now & Then , and you don’t mind a little inventory management, this is an easy recommendation. If you want fast-paced action or a constant stream of lewd scenes, give it a pass. In short: Mist is not a game for instant gratification

Stock up on canned goods and trust no one. Especially not the Mist. Outside, a deadly, inexplicable Mist has engulfed the world

Developer: 395games Version Reviewed: v1.0.3 (Full Release) Genre: Adult Visual Novel / Survival / Post-Apocalyptic / Mystery Introduction: More Than Just Another Sandbox The adult visual novel space is crowded. For every gem, there are dozens of generic dating sims or poorly written power fantasies. Mist by 395games has long stood out as a title focused on atmosphere, consequence, and slow-burn storytelling. With version 1.0.3 marking a significant milestone toward completion, it’s time to ask: does the final stretch deliver on the promise of its haunting premise?

  1. As much as I wanted more Master Chief in his armor being Master Chief from season one episode one onwards. I did feel the weight and pay off of the shot of him putting on his helmet and opening the back door of the pelican in this episode. Only thing missing was a Covenant bomb on board and him saying “Time to give the Covenant back their bomb”! lol
