It is prescribed for weight loss (even if you have obesity or other metabolic issues). The Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) does not list Ozempic for weight management.

If you are diabetic and get denied, file an internal review immediately. Sometimes the pharmacy uses the wrong DIN (drug identification number).

It is prescribed strictly for Type 2 Diabetes . ODSP follows the EAP (Exceptional Access Program) criteria, which approves Ozempic for glucose control.
